Grammy & Papa's Visit

My parents came to town this past weekend, so that means Jack is now SPOILED ROTTEN!!  Not that he wasn't spoiled before, but Grammy lets him do anything he wants and stay up WAY past bedtime!  We had a good time though.  We went to dinner Thursday night to celebrate my mom's birthday, then hung out on Friday and Randy grilled ribs-YUMMY- and Saturday my mom and I went shopping.  She just bought an embroidery machine too, so we had to go get her a few necessities and of course we bought a lot of fabric!  Then we ordered Chinese Saturday night and sewed and just hung out.  Then they went home Sunday morning.

Since Grammy and Papa were here, Jack had full reign of the house and was having a ball exploring it all!  (Most of the time, I try to keep him inside the gates!)  He is pretty fast and as soon as he sees an open gate he is through it in a flash!!

He enjoyed swinging with Grammy and Papa too!  And, apparently when the grandparents are in town it is perfectly acceptable to stay in your jammies all day long!

Jack watching Daddy put the finishing touches on the patio cover.  Randy closed in the eaves to keep the birds out, put up ceiling fans and put in accent lighting.  It looks so good!  I'll have to post pictures of the completed project.  We have already spent A LOT of time out there and I can't wait for it to get cooler, so we can really enjoy it.  Even with 3 fans going, 100+ degrees is just too HOT!
